What's strange is seeing how everyone is buying up the non-kinect version is actually because of cod and other FPS titles that don't 'need' kinect. I'm a real gamer, and I don't have a kinect for 360, but only because it didn't give as much in the 360 as it does in the X1, provides a mic that is excellent at eliminating background noise, and on top of that has great voice detection!
ReplyDeleteHowever, we see constant bad reviews because people don't seem to understand that 'xbox' is the command word, and THEN you say your request to the xbox, not all as one word, like 'xbox on, xbox on, xbox on' and it fails. if you say 'xbox,[pause] on' it works everytime!
other features are skype calls, and whenever they decide to fix it, the party chat and the fact skype has free group calls now is just great. the streaming options are nothing to be trifled with either, since you can stream direct to twitch, and ignore having to buy the 500-1000$ computer to stream to twitch. the only thing actually missing is a layout selection and (quite unlikely) the option for an overlay for your game w/ social links etc.
I have found personally that since i'm a real gamer and not just someone who plays fps games 24/7. the kinect is useful, all the games it has are just as fun as the wii, without having to have a controller at all!
but, all that aside at least everyone has shut up about a non-kinect version.
