Battlefield 4: 'Squad Join Feature Will Not Be Added' - DICE

DICE has confirmed that the squad join feature from Battlefield 3 will not be added to Battlefield 4, which is disappointing.

Battlefield 3 allowed players to join squads before entering a game and many have been disappointed to find that feature removed from Battlefield 4.   Unfortunately, DICE has now confirmed that the squad join feature will not be added to Battlefield 4.

"We have a new feature in Battlefield where a new squad is created when a friend joins your game," said DICE, in a Facebook post spotted by MP1st.

"You can toggle this option on or off by going into the options menu. We’re not offering the old squad join feature because we didn’t feel that the feature in Battlefield 3 was on par with the quality that we wanted to offer our players," DICE explained.

"We have no plans to add it in the future," the developer concluded.
