S&S News: Xbox One and PS4 specs are “almost identical,” says Resident Evil creator

Shinji Mikami, creator of Resident Evil, has said that there is “no real difference” between next-generation console specifications. “We only need one console,” he said in an interview with Edge magazine, as reported by The Sixth Axis.


“Why do I have to make two versions of a game?” he continued. “And when Xbox One was first announced, it had lower specs than PS4, but now they’re almost identical. So either will do.”

Mikami’s next game is The Evil Within for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, as well as next generation consoles.
