Watch Dogs Was Headed For Disaster Before Delay, Says Analyst
Watch Dogs, possibly the most anticipated next gen title, was delayed last year into the second quarter of this year for extra polish. According to the always popular Wedbush analyst, Michael Pachter, the game was headed for disaster if it had been released on schedule.
Pachter was quoted on a recent episode of Bonus Round speaking as to the reasoning behind Ubisoft’s decision to delay development on the game:
“I admire them. Their stock got hammered. The management got criticized. And that franchise matters; it sounds really good. And if it doesn’t work, it’s a big waste of time and waste of money. So I’m hopeful that that six month delay makes that game great. But I think that was headed for disaster.”
Ubisoft still hasn't released an official release date, but there have been numerous whispers involving a June release date.
