S&S News: PS4 Backward Compatibility
Last night at the "Future of PlayStation" press conference in New York City, Sony confirmed that the PS4 will not natively support any PS3 games. After and interview with Sony Worldwide's President Shuhei Yoshida, Engadget confirmed that PSN games as well as other PS3 data, such as game saves, will not be transferable to the PlayStation 4. During the conference, however, Gaikai's David Perry stated that it and Sony would like to bring multiple generations of PlayStation games to the PS4 via the cloud at some point during the PS4's lifecycle.

I don't really care for backwards compat. Ill keep my PS3 when I buy the PS4 on launch day, But to be able to one day play them in the cloud via PS4 would be great.
