Microsoft promises 'the greatest games lineup in Xbox history' for E3

E3 will offer gamers the chance to "see the greatest games lineup in Xbox history", Microsoft has said.

The platform holder hyped its line-up while revealing plans for this year's show, where it's expected to show off a closer look at Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6 and Halo 5: Guardians, and reveal unannounced titles "coming in 2015 and beyond".

At least one new Gears of War title is expected to be revealed at the show - including an Xbox One remaster of the original game - with an unannounced title from Rare also likely to be shown off.
