Call of Duty: Ghosts PC patch improves spawns & rebalances guns


Call of Duty: Ghosts has received a new PC update ahead of new DLC pack Invasion. It improves many things, such as spawns, balancing and anti-cheat measures. 

The pack is out on PC, PS3 and PS4 from July 3, but the update is out now.

Here are the patch notes in full:

Spawns
  • Spawn system has an improved ability to select better spawns when valid spawn locations are limited.
Weapon Balance
  • One shot to the body and one shot to the head is no longer a kill for ARs, SMGs and LMGs. Increases time to kill in this scenario
Anti-cheat
  • Overall anti-cheat improvements.
Additional Fixes
  • Replaced Hunted victor operations and requirements to work with Gun Game.
  • Fixed 60 second match timer that could occur after playing a clan public playlist match then starting a Private Match with CODeSports disabled.
Extinction
  • Player class is now displayed in game above players’ heads along with their gamertag.
  • Kastet rounds now explode at any distance.
  • Fixed an issue where players that exceeded 10 minutes in Chaos mode would get lulls
  • Fixed drill not respawning at last place picked up after falling off the map while carrying it.
  • Fixed Gargoyle getting stuck in the air.
  • Fixed issue that allowed the player to use an IMS with a propane tank to teleport outside of the map.
  • Challenge adjustments and fixes.
  • Balancing updates.
  • Various bug fixes to improve stability and performance.
  • Kills are now correctly displayed on the Player Stats comparison screens

    I believe that 4-5 years from now (far less 10) nobody would be using the last-gen systems they made it for. I think that making a game you wished to keep updated for many many years for 8-year-old technology that cannot be upgraded is already a detriment to it. So I'm a little skeptical to the future of destiny... I think it'll end up being that game that you eventually MUST move to a now-current-gen platform for (because in 10 years, let's be honest, using the PS4 and Xbox 1, which were about 3 years behind the curve on release in terms of power, to be producing the latest cutting edge games is not gonna be a good idea)... if Bungie said a 5 year title I'd understand. But in 10 years... I don't know. Hell, how many people would have working Xbox 360s/PS3s in 10 years time. That'd be at BEST 10 year old variations of 8 year old hardware, which in X360's lineage, has been prone to RROD-ing for no reason
