DICE not proud of Battlefield 4's launch 'turbulence'

Battlefield 4's launch across 5 big platforms hasn't gotten off to a great one, in fact, it's gotten off to a pretty disastrous start.  Numerous players have been reporting system locking crashes and game breaking bugs. With that said, Developer DICE says it's committed to fixing the game's issues and is holding a player appreciation week as a mea culpa.

"I am extremely proud of the people at DICE and everyone across EA that contributed to the development of Battlefield 4," said Karl Magnus Troedsson, general manager at DICE. "However, I am less proud to see that the game has experienced some turbulence during the launch period. While some platforms have had only minor problems, others have had more than their fair share of issues. Resolving the launch issues is our #1 priority."

Troedsson says the team at DICE is doing its best to stabilize the game, pledging that it "will not move on to other projects until we are sure that Battlefield 4 meets — and exceeds — your expectations."

To appease players who may have lost progress in the game due to Battlefield 4's launch issues, DICE will offer double XP in every multiplayer match from Nov. 28 to Dec. 5. On Dec. 5, DICE will give all players who log into the multiplayer portion of the game a M1911 pistol scope, was previously only for DICE developers.
